MAPP is a mentor-based arts organization that partners with schools and nonprofits nationally to provide young people with playwriting workshops and community presentations of their works.
Vision
The Mentor Artists Playwrights Project is a full service provider of custom tailored, arts-based enrichment curriculum and companion funding support; we are professional artists sharing the voice of youth with community.
Values
Mentoring: We believe in the non-authoritarian involvement of adults in the lives of young people. We stand beside them as they strive to share their dreams and aspirations.
Community: We gather a community of artists into the classroom/workshop to foster the voices of young people. Artists and young people then share the hopes and dreams of youth through performances in the larger community.
Connection: We seek to build bridges between young people, their communities, and the world at large.
